Hi! I hope you're doing ok. I weaned off of lexapro almost a year ago and I did have some withdrawal effects. Just be sure to go slow...it will help minimize the withdrawal symptoms. I was off of meds for almost 6 months. (Unfortunately, I had a relapse so I went back on citalopram. Apparently my brain just can't be chemically balanced on its own!) So you can do it! Don't be afraid to ask for extra support while your transitioning! I'm rooting for you!

Just blog when you feel like it...take the pressure off yourself, and don't make it a chore. Post when you have something you really WANT to say, but don't feel obliged to post daily...every other day...weekly or even monthly.

That has worked out well for me. Some weeks you may get zero posts, but then sometimes you might get two posts in one day.

I'm praying for you.

Don't pull the plug! Just... put it in a coma. Where it can rest and get back on its feet and generally gear up for what will eventually - two weeks, two months, two years from now - be an amazing comeback!

Hope that the weaning goes well for you. You should throw yourself a party when you're officially done! (Except I wouldn't recommend having a bar filled with different types of meds available to your guests... ):-)

Oh you poor thing. I remember the dizziness QUITE well when I was coming off of Prozac. It was so bad I had my dad take me to the ER because I didn't know what was going on.

It does go away - of course it does. In the meantime, though, if you need anything let me know. At least you are weaning yourself off of them. I stopped taking Prozac cold turkey (thus - the ER visit).

Remember: you have three years worth built up in you, and one day - hopefully soon - you will wake up and be able to breathe a bit better.

Am most thankful you don't have forty posts about how your head hurts, etc. Perhaps you're just following that sage old wisdom, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Something we all should follow.

Glad you're giving weaning another go. But, I would seriously miss the blog if you decided to pull the plug. Though not the first thing I do, it is a part of my ritual morning and night.

I love the Groucho pic. Keep up the good work.

Seriously you CANNOT pull the plug on thehuckablog!! Your blog IS the first I check when I log onto the computer and also YOUR blogroll is where I've gotten some of my favorites. I've loved this opportunity to re-connect with you and even though we would still have fb I still cannot bear the thought of my life without thehuckablog. You can get through this and know that I am there with you in spirit, if not physical presence.
