This month’s postcard was really a New Year’s card, but it felt romantic to me.  If you like birds that is–did you know not everyone likes birds?  A certain someone who likes to sleep on my couch told me that she hates birds because they poop.  Um? What? You hate things that poop?  Anyway, I like birds, and I like my bird postcards best.  Fred and Martha must have liked birds too because I have a zillion postcards with an entire aviary full of bird options.

Ha ha! What do you know about this? Yours rec’d tonight.  Will write Wed eve.  Want to attend a surprise party tomorrow night for Rev. C Chapman?  Sorry you have not been feeling well.

As ever,

Fred

That bird looks like he’s been through some hard times since 1919.

lol, no, birds were just skinnier then. Also, how weird it was about a SURPRISE party?!?

:) Never let it be said the husband doesn’t know how to plan a party. Wow! And, how about ALL of us not letting it slip.

It’s not that I hate birds because they poop…it’s more that I hate birds because they have (in the past) pooped on me (several times). Supposedly it is good luck, but having been pooped on by an array of birds in the past, I don’t find it all that lucky.

Lovely postcard…my fave so far. I like birds, except the black ones from Hitchcock’s “The Birds”. I was about 10 and those things scared me to death…what were the grownups in my life thinking, letting me watch that movie?
