I love it just as it is. Vintage: good; altering for modern tastes–eh, not so good (my opinion).

It’s so authentic and lovely, reminds me of old elementary school textbook graphics. (I’m not THAT old, but a lot of the textbooks in the 60’s were mid-century because districts had tiny book budgets.)

Like the banner, but yeah. The text is hard to read. Maybe a strip of background color just behind the entries, like these comments have.

My first thought was to have a background like you have, but based on the boy’s shirt instead of the earth.

I like it, and yes the links are a little hard to see they are different from the rest of the text, but otherwise, I have no trouble seeing the text.

Pretty neat to have correspondence written to your great, great grandmother (MEB) and to your great grandmother from great grandfather before their marriage. Unfortunately you still wouldn’t know the reason for not writing if cards were chronological, you’d need their letters as well. They habitually wrote each other every Sunday night when apart, this continued to their sons, once they grew up and moved away.

I asked your Grandpa who Charlie might be and he’s quite sure it is the brother of your great grandfather written to your maternal great, great grandmother.

Oh, the banner is cut off on my screen too.

Love the postcard banner, but honestly hate the text background. Hard for me to read (especially the links, they are hardly visible). Could you separate the banner from the text background? Like different colors?

Every time I look at it my opinion changes…I love the postcard! It looks too busy. The colors are perfect! It is hard to read. It is totally unique! That is because it was designed for the aesthetic of a century ago.

Please be honest and tell me what you think. Can you see okay? Does it cut off words in the banner? If you have a huge monitor does the banner end two inches to soon?

I like the new postcard, but my aging eyes do not like the dark background with black text. It is hard to read.

Hmmm…to participate or not to participate…that is the question! I think I’ll give it the old college try!!!
