Scholarly Hupdates
This is the face he makes now whenever you say, “smile”. It looks like he is about to have a dental exam.

He started preschool yesterday. I had to go back and read that again. My BABY started preschool? It is just three hours, two days a week, but I really missed him during those three hours. It was blue day and he picked out his favorite blue shirt to wear–even though he did wear it the day before. I had it washed and dried just before we walked out the door. There were no tears as I dropped him off…he was excited to grab a book and sit on the reading carpet. There were tears when I picked him up, he wanted to stay and play with his new friends. I am guessing he did not miss me as much as I missed him.
He was very stingy with information at lunch but as the day wore on I did get a few details out of him. He played with blue play-dough, colored a blue train, and had goldfish and juice as a snack. He wanted to take off his shoes during story time, but was told that at school you have to leave shoes on. He peepeed in the potty without a stool by himself. He played a game with a blue ball and chased Henry and Carter during recess. And, he needed a backpack. One with a rocket or a dinosaur. (Check! I got it covered kiddo.) The only other thing he told me was he wanted to go back, so I guess I will be spending three hours tomorrow morning looking at the clock to see if it is time to go pick him up yet.
Other Hupdates. I have added a few people to the blog roll and removed a few others. Make sure you check out this one, it is Dr. Ang! I seriously considered removing this one, this one, this one, and this one because I am DESPERATE for updates.
I have a lot of pictures coming soon– ones from the birthday party and vacation should keep the blog going for awhile! But right now I am going to play trains with a certain little scholar.

Awww! I hope by the time my little one goes off to preschool, she deals with it like TheSon. I’m terrified that she’ll cry and miss me and I’ll feel horrible. Glad he had a great first day!
