I am working on details of the Big Boy Party and updates on how the weaning is going.  (hint: weird)  In the mean time….read why no one on my Christmas list will be getting any lined gloves or umbrellas or little slippers this year.

    This makes me mad for several reasons. First, because my employer could fire me for the same thing. Second… I’m mad because I will probably have to stop breast feeding. My pump is broken so I can’t even try to pump on the newly imposed mandatory 30 minute lunches. (part of the mandatory overtime tirade that I will be blogging about later)

    Third? We have a freaking mother’s room designed for breastfeeding women… but when am I supposed to go in there? Before and after my shift? Great, what about the other 9+ hours?

    Engorgement hurts, is very distracting, and can be embarrassing. Women have the right to lactate, damnit! It’s what we were designed to do!

    buying a new pump and just pumping before work, after work, and during lunch would still be a lot better and cheaper then quitting! What is wrong with it? What kind of pump do you have? If you call the company Medela and most others will help fix it for cheap if not free. DM me if you need help, I had two pumps that had issues while I was working and you can get them fixed really easily.

    I can’t pump during lunch because of mandatory overtime and my milk production has already dropped because of it :(

    I bought a hand pump and I’m still pumping before and after work, but I barely get enough for one bottle. One is better than none but still…

    I emailed The First Years and they told me to call, so I will on my next day off. Hopefully they can help.
    I’ve had it less than 2 months!
