LOL! I, too, was obsessed with the SVH and BSC books...was that the best racket ever, or what? I swear those authors (and I use the term "author" loosely) churned out a book a month, and the first 1/4 of the book was just the exact same recap info they put in every single one. Ripoff!

I'd forgotten how beautiful it was out front there. You'll have MMIL and FFIL home sick with these shots. Love the pic of MMIL with the son in hammock. They seem to be having a grand time.

All my Sweet Valley Twins (and High) books and Babysitter's Club books are in my attic. I'm picturing the summer camp super special BC one right now with the girls wearing green t-shirts and white shorts with pleats. Do you guys remember that one?

I also secretly watched taped episodes of the Babysitter's Club television series on VHS well into college. Shhh. Don't tell anyone. They'll think I'm nerdy.

Here's more fodder for the folks who think my BCTV habit was a bit nerdy (and I admit that it pretty much is)...I still watch Disney Channel (original movies, TV shows, old movies, cartoons...I'm a junky!), and I don't even have any children to use as an excuse.

Thanks for the flashback! I especially love the hat...if you can call it that. It's okay. I had your hat's matching dress. It was babydoll style with sunflowers all over it, and I wore it with black leggings. I couldn't talk my mom into the matching hat.

Oh, I love this post. It makes me wish I had a hammock of my very own. (I do have a Skychair though, and it's been my favorite outdoor spot for the past 16 years!)

Want to know a dirty secret of mine? I still have all my Sweet Valley High books. (And, even worse, Sweet Valley TWINS!) And I WISH I still had my Babysitter's Club books...they were definitely favorites of mine :). I'm hopeful that my daughter (currently 2 years old) will one day enjoy them as much as I did.

And I no longer make a pretense of mixing 'fine literature' with my bodice rippers, lol. (Not that I'm saying yours is a pretense...I've just given myself up to pure hedonism, is all.)
