I got my family! All day...and late into the evening. They showed up for our church's special Mother's Day breakfast and worship service...which was beautifully decorated and appropriately Mayberry-esque in its sentimentality.

And...a wonderful opportunity to see the new Star Trek movie. Unfortunately, the last 4 seats were on the front row and I can tell you that Spock has a chicken-pox scar on his right not-eyebrow and Kirk really needs to have that spot under his right sideburn checked for melanoma. In fact, I may write him a fan letter and tell him so, it looked so bad from Row 1, Seat 5.

On the way home, the 4 of us got have a lovely conference call with Nanny, whom we live too far from to have spent the day with. We sent her a lovely arrangement of mixed flowers...I think she really liked it. I just wish we could have been there to see her enjoying it. (Happy Mother's Day, Nanny. Love you.)

HeyYou and TheSon went to the house to nap while we movie'd AND set the table/checked the crockpot contents for lupper (we ate really late). So, when we got home from our phaser-fest, they were refreshed and ready for lots of playtime.

Thank you, Hucka-family, for a wonderful Mother's Day.

Since we live so far away from both, we sent my MIL and my grandma flowers and cards. They liked them.

Oh we GAVE: For all the grandmothers, a leather(like) bragbook full of pictures of guess who, and a Christian card.

Both of our moms said they wanted time with us, so for my mom she got the bragbook AND a pedicure with me. For MMIL she got the bragbook and to go see Star Trek with FFIL, BiL, and The Husband.

I think they all liked their gifts.
