Reason 75,648 that being a Stay at Home Mom is awesome.

Play dates at the local airport.

When they found out where we were going my husband and father invited themselves along.  The paint your own pottery studio never got that response.

At one point when fifteen children were hanging from some little piece of metal on one of the jets, I thought the manager might have a stroke.  My dad later told me the teeny little part they were hanging on costs like 25 grand.

I can’t tell if this is a picture of a sweet father son moment or a time-out warning.

The cockpit may have been a little overwhelming.

Trying to get these off of his head was fun.  Sarcasm does not translate well in this genre.

Just in case you did not know who the boss was at thehuckablogs.

New joke in airport pilot’s lounge. Which do we fear most at the airport? A windstorm or fifteen preschoolers on tour?

Cute pics – I especially like whose the boss. Yet, I do empathize as I seem to recall having a child like this myself.

    Hmm?

I wonder how many other dads and grandfathers came? (Or wanted to ditch a day at work and come but couldn’t?)

When DaddyHuckablog and HisLittleBrother were small, we were very short on money, so I searched out cheap thrills whenever possible. One of them was the BigCity International Airport just an hour away. Back in those days, you could wander all over the airport without any restrictions and without Air Marshalls following us around.

I remember one school trip with little kids climbing all inside a commercial jet…imagine TheDad as TheSon in each of the pics above; I did and my eyes are leaking now.

Thanks for a memory refresher!! And for the pictorial of your new memories. Love “ya’ll”.
