One is the loneliest number
January 30th, 2009
Keeping with the trend I apparently set last night (unbeknownst to me) in posting the David Bowie song…….Tonight’s video is strictly for Hey You.
Everyone else: Please pray that their electricity is restored soon and the trees cleared off the roads so that everyone can go back to reading the eloquence that is Hey You’s blog posts.
Oh, and don’t worry about me, I’m not depressed. I just miss my family.

Huh….you think it’s just for HeyYou! Well, in the context of this blog, maybe so. But……
3 Dog Night…oh mercy, favorite band of frog-lovers everywhere. Especially the tail-end of the boomers, those 70s teenagers like me and FFIL. Every dance in my jr high days ended with “Jeremiah,” that’s how we knew it was time to leave!
Out, man…gotta go plug in my ipod now to continue this farout Dog lovefest. Later, man.
BTW…only California hippies high on LSD used the word “groovy”.
For the normal folks of the 70s, we just wrote it or embroidered in on everything in sight, but we wouldn’t be caught dead actually saying it! (It sounded dumb even back then!!)
And “dude” was an 80s surfer thing, not 70s hip speak at all.
End of language lesson….peace and love.
