HeyYou spilled a bean from book #4 tonight by accident. (Okay, I kind of started it when I said I wish someone would just eat Bella....as in, chomp, chomp and GONE.) She (HeyYou) has the speed-reading record...all four books in one weekend!

Anyway, I still have #4 to read, so I obviously won't be checking your comments again until after I'm through with it. See ya! Oh, and if you haven't finished reading, be careful when reading HeyYou's upcoming posts...I have a feeling she's going to be talking about the books very soon.

back from my trip, and finally read your post. I read the first three Twilight books in the same amount of days. They annoy the crap out of me, but for some reason I couldn't stop reading them. The fourth one really turned my stomach, but I still got through it.

I saw the movie and am ashamed to say I was very entertained. I must be a very shallow person, but I think I already knew that.

I am now on another teen series. I am reading the Gemma Doyle triology. I read the first one on the trip and now I am on the second.

Maybe I should go to the grown up section of the book store next time..

(if this comment made no sense, I am still recovering from a week of no sleep)

Finished Eclipse (book 3)--had to check it out from my district's HS library because I don't buy hardbound books and couldn't find a paperback (sorry, HeyYou...guess you'll have to visit your library for it). Will check out #4 this week...only bad thing was that Eclipse wouldn't fit on my book rack on the treadmill.

I just feel for Jake...you only really get to know him in Eclipse and Bella has just about worn out any patience I had for that particular character. Wuthering Heights indeed!

I agree Sheri...NKOB is a good comparison for the Twilight series. But, I couldn't put them down either.

Microdown? I don't think I've ever heard of that. And potty training dogs....such fun! I was glad when we finally got ours trained and now if they're inside, they'll basically let us know they need to go out by coming up to us and staring at us. Then we ask them if they need to go potty or go outside and they run for the back door. Oh yeah, we have 2 big dogs. Talk about a puddle if they do pee in the house!

Oh, so I'm not actually the last person on the planet to jump on the Twilight bandwagon! ;) What a relief...if I can tear myself away from book #3 long enough, I could probably write you a review of the first two, but I'm not sure I have much to say except that they are to books as the new NKOTB cd is to music. In other words, both are like crack and impossible to resist!

Oh, and my down pillow is microdown (mom explained the process)...basically they use real down, but it has been cleaned and stripped of most common allergens associated with down...and has been chopped up extra finely so that it resists clumping. So really...it is fine!

The laudromat was certainly an experience, as I had never been to one before, but all in all I had a great visit! As for the pillow, it has fluffed itself out quite nicely, as it has now had two more rounds in the dryer. It feels as good as new, so no worries here either!!!

Our "feather bed" is really "down alternative"...commonly known by we ordinary people as polyester fiberfill. It actually feels better than a feather bed because it never clumps like feathers do. So, no worries Sheri, the birds are safe from us.

FFIL believes Ellie Mae is more acting out than she is untrained. He bases that opinion on the fact that she had been outside for a really long time and immediately upon coming inside, she went into our bedroom where a lot of people were gathered, jumped up onto our bed and peed on the topper under the full eye of the humans in the room.

I agree with him. (You know, he's pretty wise and is almost never wrong.) Oh, and perhaps if we had put her in the mud room with the elderly dalmation before we went to church that morning we would not have come home to the hysteria-based disaster she left in the bathroom.

Rest assured...you are still welcome at our home. As for Ellie...ummmmm, well we'll talk.

My New Year's revolution (er, resolution) actually got started between Thanksgiving and Christmas and is almost a habit now...power walking at least 30 minutes a day on my new treadmill. I'm up to 45 minutes and 3 mph! It's not about weight (thank goodness since that's not decreasing at a discernible rate), it's about have the endurance to keep up with TheSon when he's here!!

Happy New Year!
