Accountability
updated Saturday night, 11:45pm
Maybe if I post my to do list for the entire Internet to read I will actually get up and do something instead of laying under the sick quilt watching cartoons with The Son and going through the pretty Christmas box of Kleenex.
Hey You’s To Do by SUNDAY MORNING!
*Decorate Christmas tree.
*Put Batteries in all singing Christmas toys.
*Remember why I took out all batteries of Christmas toys and remove again, explain that toys are “sleeping”
*Finish decorating house for Christmas–those knick-knacks aren’t going to look cluttered by themselves!
*”Help” The Husband put up outside lights. (by help I mean sit on driveway and repeatedly say “Don’t fall!”) Halfway done, we were thwarted by dud lights.
*Wrangle The Husband and The Son into sitting still long enough for The Neighbor to take a picture of us worthy of handing out to all of our loved ones. pictures were taken, not sure if any will make the cut. Oh well, better luck next year.
*Design and order Christmas cards
*Make list of who should get a card, and who should get a gift.
*Buy a gift or two.
*Ask Ang and Cat why they have not yet sent me church bulletins.
*Laundry, especially slipcovers that smell. Did anyone really expect this to get done?
*Go to Burger King to get cardboard crown.
*Finish The Son’s King costume for Christmas play.
*Get Well. Wellish.

Okay, the church bulletin thing…I forget. Plus we haven’t been to church in a little while. It seems that the podcasts are too convenient. That, and I just don’t like getting out in the COLD…the high for this coming Sunday will be around 20! degrees! the high!! Okay, so good luck with your list, mwah ha ha..
Also, I guess I thought that since I didn’t send a bulletin within a week or two that the deadline had passed and I was off the hook…Just being honest…
Well, I kept meaning to get the bulletins, but when I think to go pick some up out of the pews after service someone has already thrown them away. I’ll try again this week
Please do try and remember this week girls! What I plan on doing with them will be really cool if it works….Ang did you get my email? Is that date good for you?
Oh, and a good remedy for the cold is moving back to home state, high was 54 here today….lovely and sunny!
Ugh, sorry to hear that you’re sick! I almost posted the exact same thing on my blog today–I’m also under the weather and have a million things to do, and thought maybe some accountability might do the trick. I might just be a copycat and do that tomorrow…I’ll put it on today’s to-do list.
Feel better soon!
ok I have your bulletins. Can I run them by with the Son’s present on Saurday while we are in town? If you aren’t there I can leave them by the door.
Um, we didn’t go to church today ’cause it was snowing at the time and we knew that it was gonna get really cold. The current temp outside…a whopping 2 degrees. Yes, that’s right, just 2 degrees. Wind chill of -18. I haven’t left my house all day, and don’t really plan to leave tomorrow either. Sorry about the church bulletin thingies.
Well, I did give you a stack of bulletins, but if you need more let me know. Of course, I won’t actually be in church this week since I’m going to go visit TheGreatGrandmother for several days.
Oh….and when exactly IS the deadline, anyway? I’m trying to be patient, but curiosity is about to kill this old tabby.
Boy, I love surprises! I can’t wait to find out what Hey You has planned for the stack of bulletins I gave her! I just LOVE the suspense!!!
It really is too bad that you can’t read sarcasm on a computer screen unless it’s blatantly obvious.
I absolutely DID read the sarcasm dripping from your post, ShoeShe. But, then again, I do know you so that may have helped.
