NaBlo….what now?

Ok, now that is out of my system, has anybody noticed anything new about TheHuckablog? Go on, look around. I will wait.

Very good boys and girls! (note to self, it might be time to turn off the children’s programing). That thing over there on the right called NaBloPoMo. That means I have agreed to join together with a bunch of other bloggers to have a new post every single day in November. Have you ever heard that parable about the two groups of potters? One group was told to spend the whole month creating masterpieces. Quantity did not matter, and they should give each piece all the time they thought it deserved. The second group was told to produce a new piece of pottery everyday. Whether they were done or not, each day they had to start a new piece. At the end of the month the group which  produced daily had better work because they were practicing and while some of their pieces were crap, there were more gems. I’m hoping for a couple of good posts, but you may have to wade through some junk to get there. Thanks for hanging in there with me. I am also supposed to challenge other bloggers to participate too, I pick the newblogcomer Cat-egories, Shoeshe, The Gentleman’s Revolt, and 7 day trial (now is the time for you to blog girl, you are going to want to remember these days!). You may not be able to post every day, but you could try!

Did you notice anything else new? See the little Google box right above my face on the right? Basically anytime someone googles something from here, and then clicks on a page, Google gives me like two cents or something. I would like for that little box to pay for my son’s Christmas presents. There will only be three, but it takes a lot of clicks to add up at two cents a pop. Let’s have an example; say you want to see what the latest polls are showing and you want to go to RealClearPolitics.com. You have it bookmarked, but you want The Son to have more than gum for Christmas. Then you could come to TheHuckablog, type in RealClearPolitics in that little box, and then click on the link to go where you want. Or let’s say you and your significant other are having an argument over whether Tom Cruise was in Saturday Night Fever. You could come to TheHuckablog and type Saturday Night Fever in that little box, click on one of the links about the movie and prove your significant other is wrong. How can you put a price on that? Anyway, I would appreciate it if you could help me out here, we just had to start paying an extra $300 a month for bare bones Health Insurance. Whine, whine, whine, post over.
