A Happy Child. My Happy Child.

A Happy Child

I saw this day sweet flowers grow thick –
But not one like the child did pick.

I heard the packhounds in green park –
But no dog like the child heard bark.

I heard this day bird after bird –
But not one like the child has heard.

A hundred butterflies saw I –
But not one like the child saw fly.

I saw the horses roll in grass –
But no horse like the child saw pass.

My world this day has lovely been –
But not like what the child has seen.

These pictures were taken by a photographer near MMIL and FFIL, and we were very pleased with her, she was incredibly patient with The Son, and very reasonably priced. She even let me purchase a disk with his photos instead of prints, since we rarely look at albums, but look at the blog every day. This is the second of three posts featuring her photography. She has a website and blog that I would LOVE to link to…..but she has her address and location on it, and because of the increased traffic here on theHuckablog…it just makes The Husband and I nervous to link to her. Many of you know us IRL, or have come here through local friends, Those people: EMAIL ME at heyyou at thehuckablog dot com, I will be thrilled to pass along her info (and she is not that far from capital city). Michelle, thank you.

To answer the eleventy billion emails I have gotten this afternoon–the smocked overalls were made by my MMIL and they are not for sale. We will ask her where you can get a pattern. You will see them again when I finally post his birthday party pictures, they were made to fit the poky little puppy theme.

It’s amazing to me how much some of these pictures look like kindergarten class pictures. Not those of a two year old.

I am LOVING every minute that I spend with my son, even the minutes that he’s cranky.

He is so cute, and yes he does look all grown up. He looks just like The Husband. The overalls are just adorable. His birthday party was fun, Zoey had a blast.
