Well I’m not bragging’ babe so don’t put me down
But I’ve got the fastest set of wheels in town
When something comes up to me he don’t even try

Just a little deuce coupe with a flat head mill
But she’ll walk a Thunderbird like it’s standin’ still
She’s ported and relieved and she’s stroked and bored.
She’ll do a hundred and forty in the top end floored

She’s got a competition clutch with the four on the floor
And she purrs like a kitten till the Lake Pipes roar
And if that aint enough to make you flip your lid
There’s one more thing, I got the pink slip, Daddy

I get pushed out of shape and it’s hard to steer
When I get rubber in all four gears

    I can assure you all (for those of you who don’t know) that The Son is even more adorable in person! He is the most polite and precious 2-ish-year-old on the planet. Hey You and The Husband (and the host of family members who also should get some credit) are doing a fabulous job!!!

    Thank you Shoeshe. I can take no credit for his good manners and good behavior. This is all to the credit of Hey You and TheHusband. They are doing a fabulous job with their son. We are just privileged to be his grandparents. He is delightful.

    The pictures above set the scene for my return from work one day.

    As soon as he saw me in my car, he wanted to drive it instead of his much more age appropriate coupe.

    Can’t say I blame him though, my car does make engine noises.
