Huckabitching

Things that have happened to make me want be all stabby this week:

1.The Husband and I go to breakfast yesterday morning without any toddlers, The lady behind us proceeds to CLIP HER FINGERNAILS and use RACIST SLANG while we are eating. Romantic background music it was not.

2. My family put about 30 hours into getting a really awesome, moral, kind, smart person ( and member of our church) elected yesterday. He came in third. Out of three.

3. In exactly four days I will look like a cross between Bert and Groundskeeper Willie. My eyebrow lady has done up and quit. QUIT! And did not leave a forwarding address! I have endured years of having her smoking odor hover directly over my face because she was just THAT good. Damn.

4. And on that smoky note, people who smoke in front of mass groups of children, like at the park, next to the story time door at the library, or the worst? WITH A CHILD IN THEIR UTERUS!! Who does that still? Don’t they know better? Really?

5. The fence people that got my fence 90% done and then left, without saying when they were coming back! Did I mention that The Dog is still at my parent’s house?

6. I dropped my camera and it is falling apart now. And I can’t afford a new one, at least not the one I REALLY REALLY want.

7. The New Kids were on the Today Show, and they were old. And although Joey was still the hot one, he really needed to hang up “Please Don’t Go Girl”. I will not be going to that concert.

8. And finally the odor in my kitchen. It is …putrid? Pungent? Stanky? And it is The Husband’s turn to clean it.

Twack. Twack. Twack. Ouch. Banging my head against the desk did not help. I think I need to take a nap for about a week. Something…good? I guess? happened today. My counseling center called me and asked if they could bump me for someone else, apparently they feel I am the least crazy of her patients. I told her to just cancel my appointment, I don’t really think I need to go anymore. It is very comforting to know they are there if i need them, hopefully I won’t.

Here have some pictures of The Son, he brightens the suckyist of weeks.

  2. Cat on May 21, 2008 9:00 pm

well you get to see me soon, does that help? Or should I find other arrangements.

  3. ShoeShe on May 21, 2008 10:20 pm

When’s Cat in town? I think I may have vacation all week next week. Maybe we could all three hook up. Or maybe not. Whatever. I miss you all.

  4. ShoeShe on May 21, 2008 10:21 pm

Oh, and just e-mail that to me. You don’t have to post that here.

I have to agree with the old “NKOTB” comment. I was leafing through a copy of Us Weekly and it had past and current photographs of the group. They look old. Weird thing is, the same day I was looking through that magazine I heard their new song on the radio. I think it was called “Summer Time” or something to that effect. I wasn’t really paying attention as I was just pulling into my parking lot after a long GRADUATION weekend. Yes folks, that’s right, you can now commence calling me Dr. Ang. Yay me!!

  6. Hey You on May 22, 2008 8:33 am

YAY Dr. ANG!! that is awesome! Are you going to stay in NE?

ShoShe, CAT is coming today (and yes that will help, don’t you dare find other arrangements), so come on down, my couch is waiting for you.

  7. Ang on May 22, 2008 10:13 am

Yes, we are staying in NE. My hubby got an AWESOME job (I’m still looking) and we are building a house. They were supposed to start digging the basement today, but it’s raining. I don’t know if that interferes with digging or not. Anyway, thanks. Wish I could be there to see cat and shoeshe. Tell them (in person) I said hi, ok.

Ang…what kind of Dr. Ang are you? That’s great! Congrats!

Yea! Dr Ang! that is so awesome. I had a great time with HeyYou, she is an excellent hostess and TheSon is so amazing. He was so entertaining and cute and just a happy child to be around. Only seeing ShoeShe and Dr. A could have made it better

I am now a Dr. of Audiology (concerning the ear and hearing). I’m hoping to get a job as soon as my residency is finished (the end of June). Hoping…

OMG you guys!!! I just heard on the radio that NKOTB will be in Omaha in November and tickets go on sale this Saturday! The adult Ang thinks that NKOTB is kind of old and lame, but the 10-year old Ang can barely contain herself. I’m guessing that the adult in me will probably win out since we’ll be in our new house in November (read: buying new furniture and appliances) and my husband can’t even keep a straight face when I start to talk about NKOTB. Oh well…

  12. Hey You on May 28, 2008 10:55 am

The Ten year old Hey You and ten year old Dr. Ang have a date. The twenty-eight year old Hey You wishes you were here to get coffee and gossip with.

  13. Ang on May 28, 2008 1:05 pm

The 20-something year old Dr. Ang wishes the same thing…

  14. TheHusband on May 28, 2008 8:50 pm

Both the ten year old TheHusband and the extended 20’s TheHusband agrees with Ang’s hubby……….

    straight face….ha, impossible.
