now some poor other kids might have had to race with poor Toady. Of course maybe being thrown down the lane made the toad think twice next time about not racicng down the lanes.

Oh, and the Son is precious in his toad racing outfit. Sorry you didn’t win. I’m surprised you remembered it long enough to blog about it (hahaha). But, to be honest, the earlier they learn that they won’t always win the better. Plus he also learned that all that really matters (at his age anyway) is that you try hard and have a good time! Yea for competition. Down with sports that don’t have real winners and losers!!! Kids need to learn how to lose gracefully.

Yeah, it was a blast…I’m proud of The Son for his valiant effort at chasing what might possibly have been the laziest toad I’ve ever seen across an astroturf mat towards even more screaming people (can’t blame the toad, I would have frozen too).

In regards to the crickets…..heh…well……I believe I said it best when I named the toad: “Whatever, you are handling this”
