I am excited about camping too, and the Festival was such a success that when I got out of the car at home, my foot was glued to the mat by the marshmallow I had stepped on!

I say, don't worry about this little one's communication skills. He's at the top of the range in everything with that regard, in my opinion (which I think is non-biased, of course). Of course, I'm not the audiologist, just the grandmother.

Anyway, he appeared to know exactly what he wanted and how to express it at the First Ever Huck-Clan S'Mores Festival and Parade. Yes, parade...with adults, little one, and even a dog! Hey, we don't skimp at our (deleted by editor because we dont say where we(or you) live Gigi!) Festivals!

One last note: Pappaw is delirious that TheGrandSon loved his sandbox and the tractor rides at the Festival. I loved watching TheGrandSon digging his little bare feet into the sand, pulling his foot out and pointing at his Pappaw while saying, "Beet. Beet." (As in, "Clean off my foot, Pappaw." Which, of course, Pappaw did repeatedly with great patience.)

Can't wait to see how the camping goes this weekend.

Peeps are my absolute favorite of all the holiday candies, and for the same reason stated by The Husband!

Most normal hearing children start speaking short, common sentences around 2.5-3 years of age. However, there is such a wide range that's considered normal, I would say that 2.5-3 years is a bit on the conservative side. In my professional opinion, The Son is most certainly right where he should be in terms of speech and language development (as reported by Hey You, of course, no formal testing has been completed by this professional or any others that I know of).
