ARGGHHHH!!!! Humpty Dumpty returns to haunt my dreams again!!! That was such an utterly stressful day, full of anxiety....I had successfully repressed it until now.

Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating just a little bit, but at the time it was the most stressful, embarrassing day of my life and I thought I'd never forgive my parents for making me wear an eggsuit in front of all of those people. Luckily, I was over it a week later.

Seeing The Son grow reminds me of those days, and makes me realize just how wistful it must make my parents feel when they are around him.

I'm scanning some pics as we speak (er...um...type), and will send them to you later. But, it seems most of the pictures I found are of me in pajamas. And...I think I had Oskosh overalls in every color...seriously! I am going to send you a couple of pictures that show my personality at an early age, as well as a couple of my favorite outfits.

I recognize those glasses. I think my dad had a pair. As for clothing, my dad was more of a plaid shirt, no tie kind of guy.

Oh, Cat, you should have seen the "stache" when he grew it long enough to waxed and curl the ends. Merciful heavens, that trend didn't last long. Oh, btw, I think he may still have that lovely tie! Gotta' love him though, he's a spectacular man and I am blessed to have had him all these years.

okay, your dad with the porn-stach, is great.

I know how it is when boys look like there dads all over again. If it wasn't for the bad seventies and early eighties clothes in some pictures I wouldn't know if I were looking at Tark or MG, oh well.

Oh yes, I remember that little peach colored dress. It was a Ruth of Carolina and the fabric was very soft. It was tea length (mid-calf) and you were pretty cute in it.

Concerning the Dad's dressing habits, he did have a pretty bland wardrobe for most of his adult life. I do notice that his very memorable pocket protector (common to all engineers in that era) is missing. It could have been worse!

The only swim trunks he wore at that time would have been blue jean cutoffs.

The little sailor dress is cute. A picture taken at the same time as this one shows you holding a newspaper with your picture on the front page. You were somehow astute enough to understand it was a BIG deal and beamed from ear to ear in it.

I love the Humpty pic, and the resemblance in the two (thehusband and theson) is indeed remarkable. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
