Vote here! Would you like my opinion?

March 19th, 2008

Do you think that I should start posting a weekly book review? I am already posting what we are reading over to right there, what you have not been paying attention to all that the huckablog has to offer? for shame…. Anyway your choices are:

A. Yes, Hey You! You should totally do that. I respect your opinion on all things literary.

B. Hell-to-the-NO. You opine much to freely already.

C. Eh. You can if you want, but I do not really read so I will just ignore those posts.

You should totally do that, I’d like to know if what you’re reading is worth my while before I sit down to read it after you finish.

    Totally.

Okay…so I am learning to use this thing. (I already posted twice, but obviously couldn’t add 9 and 1 to get it to post. Hey, what do you think I am, a former math teacher or something?)
    So….yes. My final answer.

    A. Because one day I will have time to read a book that isn’t a school book or one that doesn’t have the word youth it.

On a side note you B answer is very funny. When in your life have you haver said Hell-to-the NO. I have been trying to imagine it and its hella funny

Funny, cat should say that…cus I uttered something similar yesterday when I received a call from another office that an auditor was in my office….TAKING PICTURES!!! Our family has not been one in which swearing was done. So twice, by two of us, in one day is comical.

Love, Love, LOVE the pics. I agree with Marvelous, in my biased opinion, he is tops!

Marvelous, I also had difficulty understanding that I was supposed to add the numbers.

I’d like a book review, though my reading for pleasure time is quite limited.

the only thing funnier than me saying hell-to-the-no is my mom. He he he. I do not think Hell is a cuss word. Unladylike maybe, but not a cuss. It is better for me to type them than to say them though, right?

In my humble opinion, saying and writing it is one in the same. If anything, the written word is more powerful than spoken since its more lasting.

So I say…why the HELL not?

Okay…actually I fall somewhere in between A and C. I really don’t have time to read a book EVERY week. So, maybe a delicate balance…maybe a MONTHLY book review instead of a WEEKLY one. Just saying.

I agree with grammy that writing it is worse, because anything you said that you didn’t like you can always deny(I think you and I are both good at the deny game or at least tweaking the story) but if its written down it is hard to deny that unless you convince people your dog did it by accident

I don’t really consider hell a cuss word..though, not really a nice word I suppose. I give it a 2 on the cuss scale. (scale is out of 10) Yes, it is scary that I have the job I do.

Were you telling “No” to go to hell? If so, then it most definitely wasn’t a cuss…merely a word. If you were not instructing “No” to go to hell, then it was most definitely a cuss. So, it becomes the age-old…”Is ‘ass’ a cuss?”. I say it depends a great deal upon usage. In some translations of the Bible, donkeys are referred to as “asses”, thus if it is biblical, it surely isn’t a cuss. However if I told you to move your “ass” or called you an “ass-hole”, the word “ass” would most definitely be a cuss.

On second thought…that would probably be “hell with the no” if you were truly telling “no” to go to hell.

fine… H E double hockey sticks, this conversation just got way too complicated for one little four letter word

  13. grammy on March 21, 2008 5:38 pm

    Agreed! What about the poll?

I say that Hey You can say pretty much whatever she wants if it makes her happy….but then I directly benefit from her being happy.
